GOP Convention 2008 part 2.
Yesterday was an interesting day. Ron Paul supporters tried their best to get their delegates on the ballot to no avail. Now I agree with some of Paul’s platform, but not all of it. McCain could use a little bit more, no a LOT bit more mixed into his platform. But McCain like him or not is the “presumptive” nominee and is still a better choice then Hussein Obama or Hillary. The day was filled with a lot of contentious debate, shouts of “point of order” and lots of frustration, particularly Paul supporters and they kept coming back to items that had been voted on by the majority and I think they need to be reminded how the “democratic” process works and what “majority” means. Reminded of the Democrats and their special interests groups whom whine incessantly until they get
their way. Does not matter what the majority wants.
But at the end of the day Coleman was endorsed and made a good speech, John Kline spoke and I got to speak with Marty Seifert. No pictures of that unfortunately. It was a great day and afterwards the delegates, about 14 or 15 of us from Rice County BPOU went over to Michaels Restaurant and courtesy of Mr Doug Jones, BPOU co-chair had a great meal and good times were had.
