More EMS, the Good, the Bad, the Ugly!!

Okay I know I usually post about Politics and Obama, his appointed henchman, the libtards in congress and the senate and the way they are ruining this great country of ours as fast as he can with his growing government and illegal takeovers of private business that government has no business in.

So moving onto the title of this post we have
The good!
An article @ EMSResponder about training being given to a group of Marines in an effort to save lives on the battlefield. In civilian EMS at a scene it is our job to treat and evacuate the most critical patients first and save the walking wounded for last.
But on the Battlefield these marines are being trained to get the least injured back into battle becasue as this quote says:

“The most important things for these guys to understand is hemorrhage
control and how we triage casualties,” explained Petty Officer 3rd
Class Kyle Meiborg, a hospital corpsman. “Our triage is about putting
guns back into the fight, so we have to treat the least wounded as fast
as possible. Sometimes the best medicine is putting rounds down range.”

Makes sense as the more troops shooting at the enemy the better off they are!

Also “The Ultimate Ambulance Design” another interesting read from EMSResponder.
This one about what sounds to be a great design and functional ambulance. But there is one problem. it is from 1978!!
I had the misfortune of riding in one when I was younger as the result of a motocross crash, got to ride in the front seat and at 17 thought that was pretty cool!! Would be nice to see these again as from what I have heard they road a lot better, were easiwer to handle, just a little cramped in the back. Tough to do CPR but with the new auto cpr units, maybe it is time to rethink these?

Okay now for the Bad.
I am not sure what to think about this or this and wonder if I could pass a written Paramedic exam today. What we learned in medic school for the most part was good stuff, but what you learn and use on the street is totally different!! But to see what happened when two of the largest and busiest EMS systems in the country had their Medics take a written exam, is somewhat unsettling!!

Now the Ugly!!
What the heck was this guy doing and I hope he has some good attorneys although it is England and national Health so maybe there is nothing the familycan do, but his bosses dang well better! This is inexcusable and would never be tolerated in the systems I have worked in. Completely wrong!
