Media Covers up Democrat-Backed Planned Parenthood’s Support for Infanticide
For almost as long as there have been two parties, there have been accusations of mainstream media bias. Conservatives know it’s real. Liberals insist it’s imagined. Bias is evident not only in how events are covered but also in what is covered—and more importantly what is not covered.
Consider two events from last week. First, in North Dakota the governor signed into law bills that would ban abortions when a fetal heartbeat is present and when the procedure is sought solely because of the baby’s genetics. The media, including most major outlets, went into a frenzy to stir up controversy, often casting pro-life conservatives in a negative light.
Then later in the week in Florida, lawmakers held a hearing about a bill to protect the lives of babies born during an attempted abortion procedure. The bill requires the abortionist to provide medical care to the newborn. It might seem obvious that a newborn should be cared for—but not to Planned Parenthood.
One can hope…For the ACLU to do something right for once!!

New polling from Washington Post-ABC News and Pew find that President Obama’s campaign to repress the Second Amendment right “keep and bear arms” is faltering.
On January 22, 2013, Pew released polling results that found the public followed news about Obama’s gun control proposals closely and the reaction is mixed. Only 39 percent think Obama’s proposals are about right, while 31 percent think the proposals go too far. Or, as Politico put it, “39 percent back Obama gun plan.”
Of course there is the usual partisan divide. A 57 percent majority of Republicans say the proposals go too far, and 25 percent say they are about right. A 55 percent majority of Democrats (55%) say the proposals s are about right, and 10 percent say they go too far. MO Lawmakers: Parents Must Notify Schools Of Gun Ownership In 30 Days
Here we go. Missouri Statelawmakers see dollar signs in their eyes and they are using the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut to push for legislation that would require parents in the state to notify the schools their children that they own a firearm within 30 days or face a fine.

Yesterday, Reed Exhibitions announced it was “postponing” the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show. Originally scheduled to begin on February 2 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the nine day show is the country’s largest outdoor show, and regularly attracts as many as 200,000 outdoor enthusiasts. It also puts an estimated $44 million in direct revenues into the region’s economy. Some hoteliers and restaurants say this decision will “make for a very long winter” in their area. Many of the more than 1,000 exhibitors come from out of the region and provide a huge boost to a slow season during the nine-day event. Reed kicked off a controversy when managers announced their decision not to allow any presence of the AR-rifle platform at the Eastern Show. That prohibition even extended to images of the rifle used to solicit raffle ticket sales. In other words, the AR (initially, they called it an “assault rifle”) was a non-starter at what Reed considered a pure hunting and fishing show.
Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, is an ardent defender of the Second Amendment and a member of the House Judiciary Committee. He told WND the latest gun-control push from Democrats was totally, and sadly, predictable.
“The people that have stepped forward on this are the gun grabbers. They are the anti-Second Amendment crowd. They are the opportunists that showed up the morning after the terrible tragedy at Sandy Hook,” said King. “So the president is following Rahm Emanuel’s directive. It’s a crisis that he doesn’t want to let go to waste.”
King rejects all of the main Obama priorities on guns and took special aim at the effort to reduce magazine capacity.
“If you’re going to reduce the number of rounds in a clip, where is the constitutional stop for that? Do you do it at 10 rounds? Seven rounds? Six, five, four, one? Or do you just say everything has to be a single shot?” asked King. “When you go down this incremental encroachment upon our Second Amendment rights, I think they probably would not stop at machetes. But that’s the direction they want to go.”

More Gun Ban Bills..
Along with Feinstein scheming to get things passed in the Senate there are anti-gun democrats proposing similar bills in the House:
- H.R. 138 would ban transfer or possession of standard-capacity magazines, targeting those that hold more than 10 rounds.
- H.R. 142 would ban Internet or mail order ammunition purchases, require a federal license for all ammunition sellers and mandate reporting of “bulk” ammo purchases.
- H.R. 21 would ban all private firearms transfers.
- H.R. 34 & H.R. 117 are both gun registration bills overriding long standing protections of gun owner privacy.
This is more evidence that these anti-gunners do not care about the Second Amendment. They do not care about our Right to Bear Arms. They are not concerned with the nation’s hunters, sportsmen, or families trying to protect themselves.
The liberals go on TV to discuss gun control to complain that conservatives do not compromise and that “something is better than nothing.” They play the victim like they are just looking for minor gun control to prevent tragedies. They say they will never threaten the use of weapons used for hunting and personal protection. Then they propose something that is so extreme like Feinstein’s proposed ban; of course we would never cooperate or agree with this.

Thank you for taking the time to contact me and share your thoughts on the unspeakable tragedy that occurred recently at an elementary school in Newton, Connecticut. I appreciate learning of your views.
As a father and grandfather, I am shocked by the enormity of the senseless slaughter of so many innocent lives, particularly our nation’s greatest treasure – our children. I believe the President struck the right tone in his remarks shortly after the tragedy, and agree with him that no single piece of legislation can prevent another tragedy.
As you may know, firearms are regulated by a comprehensive system of federal and state laws and regulations designed to assist law enforcement in their efforts to reduce crime and violence. The National Firearms Act of 1934, the Gun Control Act of 1968, and the Firearm Owner’s Protection Act of 1986 all combine to form a comprehensive system of regulating the manufacture, sale, transfer, and possession of firearms and ammunition. Since 1986, for example, federal law severely restricted and essentially banned the manufacture and sale of automatic weapons (better known as ‘gangster’ style machine guns). Federal law is the minimum and many states place tighter restrictions on gun possession including wait periods, semi-automatic weapons bans, and conceal and carry restrictions. I believe more gun control is not the answer. We must also recognize this tragedy deals with issues of mental health and mental illness. In 2008, I supported the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act. Since the enactment of this legislation, federal law now requires that when an insurer chooses to cover mental health and substance use disorder services, they must offer coverage of those services at parity with medical and surgical services. We must look at the reasons this happened and how to stop it from happening in the future. We must focus on good public policy rather than rushing to legislate.
As new details continue to emerge about the tragedy, one thing remains certain: a community – and a nation – have been forever changed by this unthinkable act. Like you, I believe we must ensure that those affected have the support they need from our nation’s leaders. We must not legislate in haste; instead, we must take a thoughtful, comprehensive approach. As the details of the appalling devastation continue to emerge, the nation and Congress will talk about school safety, and how best to protect our precious children when they leave us for school each day.
