Evil people are restless unless they’re making trouble; They can’t get a good night’s sleep unless they’ve made life miserable for somebody. Perversity is their food and drink, violence their drug of choice.
Thousands of people lined up for hours outside Cal Expo to buy ammunition. The line wrapped around the building for the first day of the two-day gun show. You’ve heard the early bird gets the worm. At the Crossroads of the West gun show it couldn’t be truer … (more)
Think Progress? Isn’t that an oxymoron? Heavy on the moron? It seems to me progressives do not like to think..Preferring others, such as asshats as Buck Ofama and his thugs do so!!
While banning guns and magazines is being actively promoted by the anti-gunners (as evidenced by introduction of Sen. Feinstein’s S. 150), the criminalization of private firearm transfers is the centerpiece of their anti-Second Amendment efforts.
This is part of a strategy to chip away at our Second Amendment rights under the guise of being “reasonable.”
You know President Obama and his allies are losing the gun argument when his greatest supporters are against him: Reason/Rupe released a scientific poll which found the majority of Americans–particularly young Americans–support the right of people to own so-called “assault weapons.”
Of the 1,000 adults surveyed, 51 percent of respondents support the private ownership of “assault weapons,” while 44 percent were opposed. It may come as a shock to the public that the strongest advocates for private ownership are young Americans, the same age demographic that overwhelmingly supported the President in his reelection.
“The Sheriffs strongly support our Citizens right, protect his right, to bear arms under the Second Amendment and the National Sheriffs Association does not support any law that deprives the citizens of the rights provided under the Constitution and the bill of rights.”
“Every elected sheriff has the right to enforce the laws in their county as they see fit.”
Went to a nearby Pawn/Gun Shop, as going to the Capital was out of the question and I decided to fore go the Gun Show after hearing the stories about the crowds and prices..
So I headed there and looked their small selection over..They had an interesting selection of Shotguns…all the way from Sears and Roebuck Ted WIlliams to Springfields and Mossbergs on up to Browning, Beretta, Benelli Novas…and prices were pretty good. especially if one wanted to pick a Mossberg 500 up. A Mosin M44 for 250 bucks.A Yugo Mauser and an assortment of .22s, one Winchester Model 70 and this…
Remington 597 with a Simmon’s 3x9x50 scope…Now do I ‘need’ another .22?
Yes…You can never have enough…and now I have one for each of the boys to take with them and me!!
Got it for a pretty good price, better then any I have seen elsewhere and most of those had no scopes..He knocked 20 bucks off and threw in a hard ‘cheap plastic’ case..
It is remarkably clean for a .22..
Yes I am happy…But now to explain to the MBWITW…I did buy here a new HP All-in-One computer the other day and she was pretty dang happy with that!!
Well see..as they say is better to beg forgiveness……..
“As leaders in Washington prepare an assault on the Second Amendment, a majority of Americans – 61 percent – said they believe that domestic use of drones by government and law enforcement agencies represents a violation of people’s right to privacy,” said Fritz Wenzel, president of Wenzel Strategies.
Hey! Sheeple!! Just roll over and give it all up. You don’t deserve to be ‘free’ anymore…
Surveillance cameras are ubiquitous, especially in the U.K.. and in the United States, Congress has already approved the use of drones for domestic surveillance. Then there’s the “Stingray” tool used by the FBI to track cell phones. It’s enough to make even those who’ve gotten nothing hide feel nervous.
New York-based artist Adam Harvey doesn’t like it one bit. So he’s taken it upon himself to design anti-surveillance clothing to foil government snoopers.
Or spy back!!
5 must have milsurp rifles…(well what this guy thinks!) Mosin .. check..Mauser 98..okay.. Enfield..Duh!!..M1 Garand… of Course!!..K31 Swiss…
In Alaska….Their version of Craigslist…Includes
Guns! Oh dear lord think of the childrens!!! In what appears to be…private sales!! Oh dear lord think of the children..I am betting they did…
The Obama administration is pushing gun control in the wake of the Sandy Hook, Connecticut, shootings. President Obama is using the murders as a pretext to undermine the Second Amendment and collect data on lawful gun owners. But this administration won’t come clean on its own gunrunning operation, Operation Fast and Furious, which led to the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and countless Mexican citizens.
In fact, the Obama administration last week filed an outrageous court motion saying it doesn’t have to answer to the American people, or abide by the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) at all in this scandal!
Background: the aforementioned idjit decided to wave around an “AK-47-style rifle” on the floor of the Virginia House of Delegates as part of a fairly bizarre gun-grabbing stunt. Now, Morrissey claimed that the gun was unloaded, but then…
“Del. Todd Gilbert, R-Woodstock, interrupted Morrissey’s speech to ask him to take his finger out of the trigger guard…”
…Joe Morrissey is apparently not exactly qualified to be an expert on gun safety.
Around the world, pharmaceuticals are big business, bringing in just short of a trillion dollars to the various drug companies, and U.S. companies can claim more than a third of that total. David Grabbe reveals just how pervasive and influential the drug industry and its money have become with patients, physicians, and governments.
H.R. 138 would ban transfer or possession of standard-capacity magazines, targeting those that hold more than 10 rounds.
H.R. 141 would impose federal regulation of gun shows. This legislation would require background checks on all gun sales at guns shows, and impose addition federal regulations on these traditional local events.
H.R. 142 would ban Internet or mail order ammunition purchases, require a federal license for all ammunition sellers and mandate reporting of “bulk” ammo purchases.
H.R. 21 would ban all private firearms transfers.
H.R. 34 & H.R. 117 are both gun registration bills overriding long standing protections of gun owner privacy.
This might be a good time for me to add that no one’s taking my guns either. Period. And if Dianne Feinstein orders me from her lofty perch on the left-coast to retroactively register them with some federal autocracy, I think I might just forget I even have them. Tens of millions of law-abiding, God-fearing Americans just like me and Dad, I suspect, feel the same way.
I love guns. Grew up with ‘em. As a former police officer with 12 years in the U.S. military, I know how to use them, too – use them well. I plan to buy more – a bunch more. In fact, who’s to say I don’t already have a veritable arsenal?
Rugerhas a way to send a letter to all your elected Politicians (legally or otherwise elected)at the State and Federal levels at one glorious time…
Phillip Massaro, Alisa Massaro’s father, said he was in disbelief at the accusations against his daughter.
“All I can say is it’s a terrible thing that happened, and I can’t believe my daughter had anything to do with it,” he said in a brief telephone interview. “I don’t know what happened. I just don’t know what to say. I can’t really talk about it. I’m too devastated, and I can’t talk about it.”
Melodie Miner, the mother of Joshua Miner, also said she could not believe her son was involved in the killings, saying “there’s no way my son can do this.”
“The gun has been called the great equalizer, meaning that a small person with a gun is equal to a large person, but it is a great equalizer in another way, too. It insures that the people are the equal of their government whenever that government forgets that it is servant and not master of the governed. When the British forgot that they got a revolution. And, as a result, we Americans got a Constitution; a Constitution that, as those who wrote it were determined, would keep men free. If we give up part of that Constitution we give up part of our freedom and increase the chance that we will lose it all.” –Ronald Reagan
Why Not? Why not what? Car control!! They kill!! More then guns, a lot more!! Cause untold amounts of trauma and the costs on the system are incredible..
I’m sure there are a number of subscribers to Off the Grid who are 50 or over and are still unhappily members of AARP and wish they had an alternative.
Well, there is a good one and it is AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens. I was very happy when I found them a few years ago and I recommend them to everyone I can. They have a website at http://amac.us/ Check them out and see if it’s something you would recommend to Off the Grid subscribers.
Best wishes,
Robert
Dear Robert,
Thank you for your email and I most assuredly can recommend the AMAC for those over 50. They are a conservative organization for those of us who have finally reached the later stage of life. My husband and I are both members. If you’re a conservative and a senior, and don’t want to use your hard-earned money to support an organization like AARP that doesn’t really care about your interests, then go to the Association for Mature American Citizens and check them out. http://amac.us/
Buck Ofama..Not man enough to admit…His is all about fail..
Oh don’t you just love Hollywierd? Inspiring the inept parasites into ‘shooting white people?’ Jamie Foxx what an inspiration!! Has Buck Ofamam claimed him as one of his sons yet? Seems to me that something is racist about this…..
Record crowds at Gun Show in Florida… I believe I will have to head to St Paul 26th and 27th, is a Gun Show there and would be interesting to just see what the turn out is like..Plus one never knows…
Is a smaller show, nearby, wonder how one would go over in this Government loving anti freedom town I live in?
Probably cause all kinds of hysterics
I do not expect to get shot, have yet to see a gun leap up and attack somebody and with all the folks carrying at these shows would be interesting to see someone try..
Had a funny thought last night the the BATF and Homeland Security tried to shut down show and arrest all of the attendees and vendors…That would turn out well I am thinking!!
My first hand gun was a Ruger Single Action Six .22 I purchased a while back at a Gun Show in Wells, Mn. In the Public School nonetheless!!
I shot the heck out of that gun..and then in a moment of…complete mind numbing stupidity traded it for a Winchester Model 121300 Shotgun…as I needed one for Deer season as we were going to be hunting in shotgun country..
They say hindsight is 20/20 and I really should have never done that becasue I find myself most often using my Ruger GP100 as my primary tool and my Model 1300 sits there in my blind…Could has just as well used my old single shot20 gaugeIthaca!!
So it goes and now I see this! 9 shot Single Six…Arrrgggh….
My goal with this blog is to offend everyone in the world at least once with my words… so no one has a reason to have a heightened sense of themselves. We are all ignorant, we are all found wanting, we are all bad people sometimes.
