Yesterday I reminded the MBWITW what she said so long ago when we moved to this town..

We had to stay until boys graduated.

I reminded her of that yesterday..

She thinks I am kidding.

I’m not.

Cannot stay here to much longer as this town sucks.

What Next…????

At the beginning of the year our Prayer was that no one in the family get sick, injured or need a visit to ER..as we have had a run the last few years of bad luck in that department..

Well so instead ..

A very dear friend was seriously injured in a car accident…looks like he will be fine…

Another dear friend lost his job and does not know where is eldest son is…Him I have known since High School and we were in each others weddings and his son has been like a dear nephew….No idea where he is..

Garage door springs broke..200 bucks..

The MBWITW‘s car needed a new power steering pump..300 bucks..

MBWITW‘s laptop died…had to replace 500 bucks..

The dryer thermostat…broke… 100 bucks.

The family computer power supply …broke…scavenged one off one I had set up with Linux but was a back up so..Fixed..

#1 Son’s car won’t start…think I have that one covered..

What next…

 

So I made…

A bunch of components made into .357′s today..

Approx, well enough, ran out of the bullet component….But live ammo stocks are good..

A strange movie watched on Crackle ‘Revolver’…WTH was that about??

I so enjoyed it, when ya can’t be sending them downrange is the next best thing…

Watched 4 Brothers with MBWITW and #1 Son…not bad, not bad…except I kept figuring things out and guess I should keep the mouth shut…MBWITW and #1 were both telling me to be quiet!!

Happy New Years and I hope and pray 2013 is good to us…But am fearful..

A bit light today..

Last few days have been spent fighting the crud off. Seem to be keeping it at bay, but still am not feeling the best..

Yesterday Christmas with MBWITW’s side…Noisy, hectic, spent most of my time sitting in the Living Room on the edges…Between the Nephew, Niece and all their little ones, wow…One nephew, ex military couple of rounds in Iraq, decided to test the old guy so we went around a bit before he decided..

A.) He could probably maybe take me down, finally.

B.) He would probably maybe take more lumps then he wanted to before it was over.

C.) His younger brother asked him if his stupid brain cells kicked in when he saw us going at it…

Was just for fun mind you.

Now is off to church…

Yep Saturday and no work until next Wednesday and then a range excursion on Thursday, at least that is the plan.

Mostly done finally with shopping hopefully the MBWITW’s gifts will arrive in time…sigh…

Today?

Tomorrow, Christmas with my family. Hopefully I won’t kill anyone, but making no promises..So many liberals and so few Conservatives, but I do have my 6’4″ son whom will be there and whom has developed a bit of an attitude and mouth..He will probably dish it out if needed…Plus he towers over his lippy cousins and does not really care for most of them..

Could be a good show…

Milestone…July 9, 1957..

Yeah…is here and I am trying to wrap my mind around it..
Of course what is on my mind is my youngest is in the air headed Costa Rica…:last bit of info was they all got through T(ouch)S(queeze)A(ssault) Security in Chicago..

I am 55 years old today…How the hell did that happen?
55…I can order from the Senior menu now, Senior housing is available..
55…wow..From a little town in North Central Minnesota to Southwestern Minnesota to Southeastern Minnesota..

55…Three younger sisters, of which one is gone and Bth parents still alive and kicking, wonder how they feel about my reaching”senior” citizen status..??
55…Have lived in 7 different towns and owned homes in 4 of them..
55…Married now to the MBWITW for 23 years have two fantastic sons 19 and 17.
55…Have a dog and a cat, 4 vehicles, a boat, this house..
55..Have owned 8 motorcycles, 13 different cars/truck/vans/SUVs, 2 boats.
55…Worked in the printing industry for 14 years, 3 years in ‘other’ industries, 20 years involved as a volunteer to full time in emergency medical services.
55…..wow…
55…just wow…
55…and recovering from softball injury number?? Time to retire from that and take up…..More Shooting Activities!! Thats it!!

Range Day Update…

Did not work out..

Weather did not cooperate..Cold and rainy today..45 degrees and rain, with more coming…

And a small thing like getting the toilet reinstalled in the upstairs bathroom..

And working on the tiling project and only  little bit of fitting and piecing in closet and then we can grout that side of the bathroom.

Which the MBWITW wanted and I also..as it is a long way downstairs in the dark is one needs to use that one at night..

Plus the MBWITW has her bath tub back, makes her happy..Can’t stand the man cave‘s shower for some reason..

So toilet in and of course new feeder line and shut off valve installed as the old one leaked like a sieve when I tried to reconnect it.

Plus we spent time together as I was have been gone with work a lot and now this weekend she is working so..this morning working on the “project” was time together..

A good thing…

Now when to get to the range…closed tomorrow…hmmmmm

The Internet..

Have been using Qwest DSL slowspeed internet for a while now.
And it is slow and they even admit it!!
Do to “equipment upgrades” that are/were coming I was supposed to patiently wait…

I am not a patient man…and my patience has run out with them…

So today we go from “Dad! Why is the internet so slow??”
To:
Mega loads of TeeVee channels w/ something called Hi Def TeeVee..
And the HBO package..
and phone..(Yes, MBWITW refuses to give up land line).
and Internet with a reported 15mbs over the current (supposed 1.5mbs)..
All from Charter…Dumping Qwest errr CenturyLink

And I will save money on it, about 30 bucks a month, for the next two years….

So we have all kinds of Teevee to watch…which I do not do much off…
Blazing super fast (reportedly from neighbors that have this service claim)..
So the online gamers both XBox and PC will be quieted…I hope…Or they can pay for it!!
And really fast phone?!?!

Well my hope is no more sitting waiting for a damn page to load!!
