Obamacare’s ‘Benefits’ Are Gradually Becoming Apparent
At his press conference Tuesday, President Obama assured Americans that, ìTo the 85-90 percent of Americans who already have health insurance: Theyíre already experiencing most of the benefits of the Affordable Care Act even if they donít know it.
Army Master Sgt. C.J. Grisham, the decorated vet arrested last month after “rudely displaying” his rifle while on a hike with his 15-year-old son, was still without his firearms on Thursday. Police in Temple, Texas are holding onto his AR-15 (and .45.-cal. pistol) until his case is resolved, and as you know, the wildly popular rifles aren’t cheap to replace.
“When we heard about his situation, it was obvious that his rights were trampled on,” Charlie Spires, the gun company’s co-founder, told TheBlaze at the 2013 NRA Convention in Houston on Friday. “Then we hear that they basically confiscated his weapon and he can’t get it back — what can we do? That the was the next question we asked.”
Spires said there were some suggestions of “throwing some t-shirts at him,” but the company wanted to take it a step further. “Ultimately, if they’ve taken his rifle and we are a firearms manufacturer, why not give a rifle to him?”
“I’ve got goosebumps just thinking about it,” Grisham told TheBlaze after learning he would be getting a free rifle. “It’s completely unnecessary… I don’t even have words for it.”
By the way, here’s what someone who just learned he’s getting a free AR-15 looks like:
Huh? Did I miss something?
Mooch…As bad as Buck Ofama…
In retrospect, it is safe to surmise that had the liberal media been more aware of the facts surrounding the Boston Marathon bombings and the loyalties of Tsarnaev brothers who set the bombs, the story would have received scant coverage. The left was in overdrive in the immediate aftermath of the bombing…
“I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep forever: that, considering numbers, nature, and natural means only, a revolution of the wheel of fortune, an exchange of situation, is among possible events: that it may become probable by supernatural interference! The Almighty has no attribute which can take side with us in such a contest.”
“[J]udges, therefore, should be always men of learning and experience in the laws, of exemplary morals, great patience, calmness, coolness, and attention. Their minds should not be distracted with jarring interests; they should not be dependent upon any man, or body of men.”
Well at least something good comes from snow…or to much snow..
Well..I must be ‘ahead’ of the curve!!
As they have NO business with marriage!
Another one gone!! Thanks to unthinking, knee jerk reacting Politicritters in Colorado..
On our dime..SOB’s have never earned a penny on their own!!
Is where Buck Ofama would like to lead us methinks…
“Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York.
Hmm, I wonder … If he really had the support of the American people, why is he so busy trying to disarm those who supposedly love him so much?
Well, then, let me help: This administration need not look any further than within its own ranks.
And this, friends, is the very reason we are an armed people.

The NBC, ABC, and CBS evening newscasts on Tuesday all recited the same White House talking points as anchors and correspondents wrung their hands over the upcoming sequester budget cuts set to take effect on March 1. While all three broadcasts touted President Obama using “dire language” to warn against the cuts – only amounting to less that three percent of the federal budget – none of them noted that it was the President’s idea in the first place. At the top of NBC Nightly News, anchor Brian Williams sounded the alarm: “Deep impact….deep budget cuts poised to have a major impact on the military, law enforcement, even food inspection.” In the report that followed, correspondent John Yang fretted: “Through 2021, it means cutting $85 billion a year, half from the Pentagon, half from non-defense programs. Everything from education to national parks to Meals on Wheels.” Yang failed to mention the current annual federal budget is around $3.5 trillion.

Searching for Judas: the dangers of being in the gun business today
Its official the Dept. of Homeland Security, under Janet Napolitano, has put forth a “Personal Defense Weapon Solicitation” to purchase 7000 rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. (source: www.fbo.gov) This is an official solicitation that they are accepting bids from manufactures/suppliers. While that story in and of itself is a bit incredulous given the current administration’s stance against so-called “assault weapons“, the big question on my mind is, will any U.S. firearms manufacturer dare to step up and bid on this contract?
This query is particularly poignant as orders for Stoner-based rifles are backordered months or even years.
Had one. Let it expire..Maybe I should reacquire it soon..

In the months prior to the Sandy Hook shooting, school officials and school police in Fontana, California met to discuss how to best protect their students. They weighed many issues and finally came to the decision to purchase 14 Colt LE6940 rifles. The rifles were finally delivered to the schools in early December, one week prior to Sandy Hook.
A troop of utterly shameless stage actors and demo-gogues took to the microphone Thursday to assist Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) in announcing “The Assault Weapons Ban of 2013.” These petty NeoCom tyrants tugged at the heartstrings of the nation by once again stacking up the coffins of children as their platform to call for the disarmament of law-abiding citizens.
“If 20 dead children in Newtown wasn’t a wakeup call that these weapons of war don’t belong on our streets, I don’t know what is,” Feinstein thundered. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) tearfully named all 20 children. But as emotional as that appeal is, the issue isn’t about those kids. It’s about the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution — which is about the preservation of Liberty.
Members of Congress should have paid attention this week. The President was very clear that he sees no urgency about reducing the debt and cutting the deficit. In fact, in his second inaugural address, President Barack Obama was honest about his intentions to grow government in order to remake our country along his progressive vision. Read More…

The three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuitsaid Obama did not have the power to make three recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board because the Senate was officially in session — and not in recess — at the time. If the decision stands, it could invalidate hundreds of board decisions made over the past year.

“Today we are introducing legislation that will help end the mass shootings that have devastated countless families and terrorized communities. … [O]ur weak gun laws allow these mass killings to be carried out again, and again, and again in this country. … No weapon is taken from anyone. The purpose is to dry up the supply of these weapons over time, therefore, there is no sunset on this bill. … We must balance the desire of a few to own military-style assault weapons with the growing threat to lives across America.” –Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)
“Senator Lautenberg and I have reintroduced the bill to ban high-capacity ammunition magazines because they’re the common thread in every major mass shooting in recent history and taking them off the market can have a major impact on saving lives in America. The horrific murders in Newtown have shown how our nation’s lax attitude towards gun violence has gone too far and we must take action to save lives.” –Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY)
“This just isn’t a matter of an issue of the Constitution, it’s an issue of conscience, an issue of conscience.” –Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL)
“Kids would be alive today in Newtown, Connecticut, if the law that we’re proposing today were in place on December 14th of last year. It’s as simple as that.” –Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT)
“[T]here’s no right to use 100 round clips in assault rifles.” –Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
“The latest tragedy in Newtown was a wake up call for our nation, and now we must now turn our grief into action to reduce further tragedies. It is clearer than ever that there is no place in our communities for military-style super-sized magazines like those used inside Sandy Hook Elementary School, in Aurora, and in Tucson, and I will keep working to reinstate the ban on them.” –Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ)

Light, portable, easy to shoot, high capacity, and you can carry about 450 rounds in a big mouth 16 oz plastic bottle…which fit nicely in the mag pockets on a certain vest I may own…Plus with 15 rounds in my Marlin 60 or Winchester 190 … you put a lot of hurt out and having a .22 bouncing around inside your chest cavity…is what Regan was shot with, damn near kilt him..
