Living a Lie

On Tuesday night we may have witnessed a first in the history of the American presidency. Sure, we’ve had presidents lie to us before. But I’m not sure we’ve ever had a president give a speech he knew up front was a scam, but that we also knew up front was a scam, and that he knew that we knew up front was a scam.

In recent days, the Pope has declared that non-believers – not just non-Catholics, but even atheists – can gain salvation and be admitted into heaven, while his new appointment to be secretary of State, the second most important position in the Vatican, has suggested the Vatican is ready to rethink celibacy and the clergy, suggesting priests and nuns might be allowed to get married.

Is Pope Francis even Catholic?

To Remington..Contact here.

Remington Execs obviously do not remember the gun owner boycott that nearly bankrupted S&W and forced its sale when it signed on to the Clintons Gun Ban Deal 20 yrs ago.

It is disappointing to say the least that Remington Arms has chosen to accept government blood money to sell out its loyal customers and the 2A by remaining in NY when it could have written its own ticket and upheld the 2A rights of American citizens by moving to any one of a number of free states that were vying for its jobs and tax revenue.

I would have to ask Remington execs, just whom do you think those 5k Sniper Rifles that were purchased with the governments 20 pcs of Silver will be used against ?? -

Goodbye Remington, I will no longer purchase any of your arms, accessories or ammunition.

A Firearms Company Posting Strong Earnings In The Wake Of Legislative Adversity
by Heather Ingrassia

On Monday April 29th Sturm, Ruger, & Company, Inc. (RGR) reported the results of what I believe to be a very strong first quarter. The company’s Q1 EPS of $1.20/share beat street estimates by $0.19/share and its revenue of $155.9 million beat street estimates by $24.25 million. In the wake of company’s impressive first quarter I wanted to examine several catalysts behind my decision to consider establishing a long-term position in this higher-yielding firearms play.read more »

Feinstein Gun Ban Just Tip of Iceberg

  • H.R. 138 would ban transfer or possession of standard-capacity magazines, targeting those that hold more than 10 rounds.
  • H.R. 141 would impose federal regulation of gun shows. This legislation would require background checks on all gun sales at guns shows, and impose addition federal regulations on these traditional local events.
  • H.R. 142 would ban Internet or mail order ammunition purchases, require a federal license for all ammunition sellers and mandate reporting of “bulk” ammo purchases.
  • H.R. 21 would ban all private firearms transfers.
  • H.R. 34 & H.R. 117 are both gun registration bills overriding long standing protections of gun owner privacy.

This might be a good time for me to add that no one’s taking my guns either. Period. And if Dianne Feinstein orders me from her lofty perch on the left-coast to retroactively register them with some federal autocracy, I think I might just forget I even have them. Tens of millions of law-abiding, God-fearing Americans just like me and Dad, I suspect, feel the same way.

I love guns. Grew up with ‘em. As a former police officer with 12 years in the U.S. military, I know how to use them, too – use them well. I plan to buy more – a bunch more. In fact, who’s to say I don’t already have a veritable arsenal?

A Day or 3 or 4 Late…

But finally made it…

To the range.. Nice day, although a bit breezy and coolish, but sunny and nice…

Brought the GP100, Ruger Mk II and Kahr…(like that is going to leave my side!??!!)

And put a bunch through the Ruger, a few through the GP100 and a few clips worth through the Kahr..all from rests today, no offhand…

Was happy with all, except I really cannot blame the Kahr for my lousy offhand shooting..

At about 10 yards….damn targets keep getting smaller!!!

Then went over to the 50 yard range and tuned the Marlin 60 and its scope in…Also had the SKS along and that will need some work…managed to fire one round and then click, no bang, click, no bang..dang it!!

And finally the M44 Mosin…Dear lord DO NOT ever FORGET to put the hearing protection on ever again!!!
Anyone else hear that ringing sound??

What a BOOMstick that thing is…

Needs a scope though…targets way to small through open sights for some reason….

A few pics and yes I was goofing off with the camera also…Was all in all a pleasant few hours and I really needed the therapy…Heh…

And no I did not do a bayonet charge with the Mosin….I mean come on!!

Shooting For Growth: Sturm, Ruger, & Co.

by George Liu

It’s not every day that an iconic American company that has been around since 1949 is forced to stop taking orders until “the end of May” due to overwhelming demand. Sturm, Ruger & Co. (RGR), the U.S. firearms company with a 974.4M market cap has done exactly that. Due to extremely positive Q1 sales of over 1M units, Sturm, Ruger &Co. has temporarily suspended acceptance of new orders because it cannot keep up with demand. The company, which operates in the consumer goods sector, is currently benefiting from a huge surge in interest of firearms, a surge which has been catalyzed by a variety of factors, from election fears to economic conditions and legislative as well as judicial action. Sturm, Ruger & Co. has been riding high, experiencing a 52.3% gain in its stock price YTD and hovering near its 52-week high of $53.29. read more »

A Ruger 77/357 Rotary Magazine Rifle ?????

WANT!!!

To measure the increased velocity of the .357 from the 77/357 rifle, the same test rounds that were later used for accuracy testing were fired through a Cutting Edge Dynamics (CED) M2 chronograph. Black Hills‘ 125-grain jacketed hollow points proved to be the fastest of the test group with an average velocity of 2,794 fps. Hornady‘s 140-grain FXT, an excellent all-purpose cartridge for both handguns and rifles, left the barrel at an average velocity of 1,818 fps. Federal’s 180-grain Swift A-Frame jacketed hollow points, a dedicated hunting round, produced an average velocity of 1,400 fps. Based on these results, proper shot placement with bullets in these weight ranges should get the job done.

A long gun chambered for .357 has other advantages to consider. The 77/357 will feed both .357 Mag. and .38 Spl. loads. As a result, this handy little rifle can be loaded down for low-recoil plinking with soft-shooting .38 target loads, or ramped up to full power with a wide variety of .357 factory or handloads. The .357 is a common round that is easy to find at reasonable prices, and, best of all, you can buy a 50-round box of cartridges to practice with for about the same price as a 20-round box of rifle rounds.

Better start saving, scrimping and negotiating!!
