– In Obama’s America, teachers are suspended for lassoing students. TheDC’s Eric Owens reports:
“A history teacher at Schrade Middle School in Rowlett, Texas has been suspended because he lassoed a seventh-grader with a lariat. The unnamed teacher had some roping experience and wanted to teach students some basic lasso techniques that cowboys use on cattle drives, reports KHOU. He sought volunteers from the class, asked them to run, and then roped a 13-year-old student — around the neck. The student suffered bruises on his neck as a result. The boy’s distraught parents say that the bruises had gotten worse after a day, reports WFAA.”
Is this America? Or the Soviet Union? This country was founded by those who believe teachers should be able to lasso their students. No, none of the founders expressed their views on the matter precisely that way — or for that matter, at all. But they certainly didn’t condemn the practice, either. Therefore it is safe to assume they saw it as a bedrock principle of the nation.

As the gun control debate rages in America following the abominable events in Newtown, eventually, perhaps inevitably, the media will ask itself, “What would Jesus do?”
They’ve done it for years as it relates to wealth redistribution and Obamacare. Obama gave an entire speech about taxes in which he used Jesus for his justification. I’d wager that the tactic is designed to hit God fearing southerners where, in keeping with the caricature that the media has created of them, they are most likely to submit without question and accept the answer given to them by their betters.
Of course this vastly underestimates the target, but putting that aside, is there any truth to the idea that Jesus would deplore a concealed carry license or a mom defending her children from an intruder? Is this man truly a genius?
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an “A”…. (substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a “B”. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride
too so they studied little. The second test average was a “D”! No one was happy.When the 3rd test rolled around, the new average was an “F”.
As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
Human nature will always cause socialism’s style of government to fail because the world has producers and non-producers (makers and takers).
It could not be any simpler than that.

Next week? Umm more of the same with an EMT refresher tossed in…and some ACLS….and more FFer CPR refreshers…
