On Friday the Drudge Report published a Daily Caller news story which implicates liberal DemocratSenator Al Franken in the growing IRS scandal. In 2012, as part of an effort to use the IRS to intimidate and silence conservative groups, Al Franken called on the IRS to target the tea party.
Franken co-authored a letter to the IRS along with a handful of other Democrat Senators demanding that the IRS target tea party groups applying for 501c4 non-profit status. Then Franken spoke out at a press conference on March 21, 2012 where he told the media:
“I think that there hasn’t been enforcement by the FEC and the IRS… That’s pretty hinky. I mean, they really aren’t doing that, and that I think there needs to be a look at that…”
Al Franken got his wish and the IRS targeted, investigated, harrassed and intimidated tea party organizations and other conservative groups.
Now it’s time to hold Al Franken accountable for his shameful actions of trying to use the IRS to conservative voices in this country. In recent months, Darin Fowler had been the victim of several burglaries at his Oroville, Calif. store, Air Cooled Unlimited. Fed up, Fowler, a Right-to-Carry permit holder, decided to arm himself and camp out at the business. While sleeping behind the shop one night, Fowler was awakened by a thief. Fowler drew his gun on the criminal, who complied with the business owner’s orders to stay put until police arrived. A subsequent search of the burglar’s home uncovered several of the items that had previously been stolen from Fowler. Following the incident Fowler commented, “It was almost closure because now we can relax a little bit now and get back to work.”
Today, the misguided Manchin-Toomey-Schumer proposal failed in the U.S. Senate. This amendment would have criminalized certain private transfers of firearms between honest citizens, requiring lifelong friends, neighbors and some family members to get federal government permission to exercise a fundamental right or face prosecution.

FBI: 32 Gun Purchase Background Checks Per Minute Under Obama
Lawmakers need to see these numbers. According to FBI data there have been 70,291,049 background checks for gun-purchasers since Obama took office. CNS News notes that this equates to 32 background checks per minute.
At least some are standing up to the Democrats and RINOs working hard to destroy our Rights!

Sources inside the Senate tell me that the Republican Conference is scared to death of the tactics of Senators Lee, Cruz and Paul – that it is supposedly putting them in a tough spot.
Several of the Republicans are using the Manchin-Toomey compromise plan as an excuse to cave on the gun filibuster. They claim that Senators Lee, Cruz, and Paul are running ahead of the conference in their insistence on a filibuster.
What they fail to see is that the cloture vote is the vote to stop the gun legislation from passage.

Posted on March 23, 2013 by Nick Leghorn The Hill is reporting that the U.S. Senate voted on and passed an amendment to the budget bill that would keep the U.S. from signing onto the UN arms trade treaty. Many have been concerned that the treaty, which does not differentiate between military and civilian firearms, would be used as a back door to enact sweeping gun control regulations in the United States. With the passage of this amendment (by a vote of 53 – 46) it signifies that ratifying such a treaty would be impossible with the current Senate. A Democrat also offered an amendment that clarifies that the U.S. constitution trumps all treaties, which was passed as well.
