ABC, NBC Cover-Up Revelation Susan Rice Ordered Trump Aides Unmasked, CBS Defends

massive revelation in the alleged surveillance of President Trump’s aides broke Monday morning when Bloomberg reported that “[f]ormer National Security Adviser Susan Rice requested the identities of U.S. persons in raw intelligence reports on dozens of occasions that connect to the Donald Trump transition and campaign.” With their identities unmasked, it allowed for someone to freely and illegally leak their names to the press. It’s controversial news but ABC and NBC both chose to ignore it that night, while CBS defended Rice.

So desperate to discredit a bombshell Bloomberg report that former Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice sought to unmask Trump transition officials caught up in intelligence surveillance, on Monday afternoon, MSNBC host Katy Tur outrageously suggested that simply reporting on the story was helping Russia “undermine our democratic institutions.”

3. ‘It Has Never Been Worse!’; CNN Makes Excuses, Condemns GOP Going Nuclear on Gorsuch

 

After Monday’s White House press briefing, CNN Newsroom host Brooke Baldwin and most of her panelists chided the “partisanship” of the GOP-led U.S. Senate ahead of Judge Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation vote and invoking of the nuclear option, whining that the divisiveness “has never been worse.”

While NBC News is usually in lock step with the agenda and talking points of the Democratic Party, on Monday, even the liberal analysts on the Today show were forced to acknowledge that Senate Democrats had “painted themselves in a corner” with their partisan push to filibuster Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch.

The news media needs to follow the more “rational” and “reasonable” journalism of late night comedians, says Vox writer Carlos Maza, in a video posted Monday afternoon to the left-leaning website.

7. Blowhard Baldwin: Mocking Trump Is Like ‘Curing Polio,’ ‘A Big Deal’

 

Liberal actor Alec Baldwin is very impressed with himself, touting his Donald Trump impersonation as comparable to Jonas Salk “curing polio.” CBS Sunday Morning journalist Rita Braver on April 2 stood aside as heaped praise on his own Saturday Night Live appearances. After wondering if Trump has “gotten mostly positive responses,” Baldwin cheered, “60 to 75 percent of the people I encounter treat me like I was Jonas Salk and I cured polio.”
