Media BiASSed:

STUDY: Networks Blame ‘Hardline‘ ‘Ultra-Conservatives‘ for Obstructing ObamaCare Repeal

With Republicans set to make another run at repealing and replacing ObamaCare this week, look for the Big Three networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) to blame conservatives, specifically, the House Freedom Caucus for any sort of obstruction to getting a deal done. In 30 days of health care debate coverage (March 7 through April 5), the broadcast networks consistently framed it as a fight between unreasonable conservatives versus more moderate Republicans and Senate Democrats by overwhelmingly applying ideological labels to one side of the argument.

Nets Blame ‘Adamant’ Trump for ‘Looming’ Government Shut Down

Monday morning ABC, NBC and CBS spent multiple reports blaming Trump for a possible government shutdown this Friday, while, at the same time, downplaying the likelihood of Republicans supporting the border funding and allowing this to happen. All three networks centered their reports around Democrat opposition to the border wall as a “moral” issue that the party couldn’t get behind. Yet when Republicans didn’t want to back Obamacare, the networks eviscerated the GOP at the time, for being obstinate and “hurting” the American people by threatening a government shutdown.

CBS Pushes Kasich From the Left: Want to Decry Trump’s ‘Wrong Path?’

The journalists on CBS This Morning, Monday, goaded John Kasich to attack Donald Trump, lauding the moderate Republican governor. Democratic donor Gayle King, who vacations with Barack Obama, lobbed this softball: “You believe that historians will scratch their heads and look at this election as a tipping point. What will they see?”

The President They Want: CNN & MSNBC Give Heavy Coverage to Obama Event

After 95 days of unremittingly hostile coverage of President Donald Trump, the two liberal cable news networks indulged themselves on Monday by offering an incredible hour of uncritical live coverage to a not-very-newsworthy event by former President Barack Obama in Chicago. While Fox News showed only 7 minutes and 20 seconds of Obama’s talk, CNN and MSNBC broadcast the speech and question-and-answer segment following it for a full 52 minutes, 12 seconds and 58 minutes, 46 seconds, respectively.

CBS, NBC Celebrate Obama’s First Public Appearance Since Inauguration

Former President Barack Obama made his first public appearance at the University of Chicago on Monday, where the liberal media championed his return. “Meantime tonight, we’re hearing from former President Obama speaking out in his first public event since leaving office, jumping back into the spotlight and a lot of attention focused on what he would say about his successor, President Trump,” hyped Anchor Lester Holt during NBC Nightly News.

Stephanopoulos ‘Surprised’ Trump Would Beat Clinton Again, Still Has Strong Support

Good Morning America anchor George Stephanopoulos couldn’t hide his surprise at his own network’s poll results, during Monday’s show. The ABC News/Washington Post poll over the weekend revealed positive numbers for the president, going against the media’s negative narrative that supporters had abandoned Trump. Not only that, but the poll revealed Trump would win the election again, if it were taken today. A flabbergasted Stephanopoulos admitted he was surprised by the results, in two different segments on today’s show.

Sad ‘Morning Joe’ Is Floored That Only Two Percent of Trump Voters Regret Backing Him

Just as the news media missed the boat in predicting the outcome of the 2016 election, their behavior in 2017 have shown they’ve learned absolutely nothing. On Monday’s Morning Joe, the MSNBC panel was flabbergasted that the new ABC News/Washington Post poll found only two percent of President Trump’s voters regret voting for him.
