CNN Panelist: GOP No Longer the Party of Lincoln, Wants Racists

 

Following President Trump’s unusual comments about President Andrew Jackson being able to stop the Civil War, the media was all abuzz trying to figure out what he meant by it. During CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 Monday night, commenter Jeffrey Lord explained that Trump might have been attracted to Jackson’s economic populism, but Lord condemned Jackson’s racism. He also reminded viewers that it was Democrats who backed slavery and racism. That didn’t sit well with New York Times columnist Charles Blow, who proceeded to rail against Republicans.

Monday’s CBS This Morning was broadcast live from the White House’s East Room and while there were plenty of fun, historical, and nonpartisan segments on various rooms inside the White House, the liberal bias didn’t receive a day off as the co-hosts pushed Trump advisor Gary Cohn from the left on the President’s tax plan.

In one of the most noteworthy moments from Face the Nation host John Dickerson’s all-access weekend with President Trump, an angry and peeved President shooed away Dickerson following a tense exchange about accusations the Trump team were spied on by then-President Barack Obama and his administration during the campaign.

ABC: Press ‘Celebrating First Amendment’ While Trump ‘Bashing the Media’

 

Still upset that President Trump decided to skip the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in favor of a rally with his supporters Saturday night, on ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday, co-host George Stephanopoulos whined: “President Trump celebrated his 100th day doing one of his favorite things, a fiery rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he laid into the media just as so many were sitting down at the traditional White House Correspondents’ Dinner.”

Concha Trashes Liberal Media Claim That Trump Is a Threat to First Amendment

 

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner was supposedly a celebration of the first amendment, but Saturday’s dinner was a Donald Trump bashing fest with cries of his threat to journalism. But during Sunday’s MediaBuzz on Fox News, The Hill’s Joe Concha unloaded on his liberal colleagues for their overblown hysteria. “Here is what I will say to that. Press briefings with Sean Spicer have never been more democratic,” he declared.
