Media BiASSed: Same Crap, New Day ..

1. Trump Freak-Out! Celebrity Edition

It’s not just the press that are freaked out by Donald Trump. Talk show hosts and celebrities from Stephen Colbert to Robert DeNiro, Katy Perry and Rosie O’Donnell are losing their minds over the new president: DeNiro claimed Trump was worse than con-man Bernie Madoff: “He’s a pig”; Perry claimed Trump’s election brought “a lot of trauma for me; Colbert infamously characterized Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin in the most obscene terms; and O’Donnell sounded like she was fomenting a revolution: “We have never had this kind of treasonous madness in power before. Desperate times – desperate measures.”

2. WSJ’s Strassel Destroys Stacked Anti-Trump Panel on ‘Meet the Press’ With Facts

The liberal network shows were all busy Sunday morning pushing accusations and speculation about President Trump and his adviser Jared Kushner. Their discussion was driven by more anonymous sources telling The Washington Post that Kushner tried to set up a backchannel discussion between Trump and the Russians to talk about Syria. The hysteria was also present on NBC’s Meet the Press, but theirs was shattered by The Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel after she introduced facts to the discussion.

3. CNN Claims Kushner Was ‘Treasonous,’ Later Admit He’s Not a Target

The liberal media have been circling and acting as though they smell blood in the water since The Washington Post reported that close Trump adviser, Jared Kushner wanted to set up a back channel with the Russians so Trump could discuss Syria. This, on top of reports that investigators would like to simply talk with Kushner and ask him some questions. The prowling continued on CNN’s Inside Politics on Sunday, where they painted Kushner as “treacherous” before offhandedly noting that he was not a target roughly 50 minutes later.

4. Nets Hype Kushner ‘Under Scrutiny,’ Then Admit He’s Not Accused of Anything

On Friday, all three network morning shows began with anchors breathlessly declaring that President Trump’s son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner was “under scrutiny” in the FBI’s Russia investigation. However, after offering the screaming salacious headlines, each broadcast quietly admitted that Kushner was not the target of the investigation nor was he accused of any wrongdoing.

5. CNN, MSNBC Fawn Over ‘Feisty’ Hillary ‘Finding Her Groove’ ‘Taking Down’ Trump

Hillary Clinton came out of the woods to deliver another vicious anti-Trump speech Friday afternoon and the media couldn’t get enough of it. Clinton was delivering the commencement address at her alma mater Wellesley College, and both MSNBC and CNN took precious time out from their endless Russia conspiracy coverage to gush over the failed presidential candidate’s “fiery” “takedown” of our president.

6. Fake News: Nets Push Myth of Trump Spending “Cuts”

In covering the President’s proposed budget this week, network reporters unanimously claimed it “cut” or even “slashed” federal spending. An MRC analysis of ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening news coverage since Monday (May 22) finds that not a single reporter ever told viewers that overall federal spending would actually RISE under President Trump’s planned budget — just not as much as forecast under the budget baseline Trump inherited from President Obama back in January.
