Most used rifle and revolver on the homestead. 10-22 and single six convertable

I have spent more time firing my 22s of all stripes than anything else. My sons were both good shots when they went into the military and one was a scout and team sniper. They spent a lot of time handling 22s and getting good at using them. The sight picture skills and the handling techniques in firing a 22 rimfire translates directly to larger calibers and makes a better marksman.

In a SHTF scenario, a .22 has all kinds of uses from small game to the ability to
secure more powerful weapons. What I mean by this if there is a nationwide
attempt by the federal to confiscate firearms like Virginia is attempting to do,
a .22 may be all you need. My .22 WMRF bolt action can drive tacks at 100
yards so I could hunt small game while making just a little more noise than
    a standard .22 LR.

I do not see this happening in several lifetimes, and the actions taking place in
Virginia will be overturned in the federal courts. If the federal courts do nothing,
then I might be making some long term plans. Until that time, I will not be
worried. I do not fear an armed revolution by the communist left. They are
too small in number, and for the most part, they lack tactical training or experience
in the use of firearms. They will face the largest army in the world (the armed
citizens,) and the overwhelming majority of soldiers, LEO’s, and the entire
biker community. The soy boy Walter Mitty crowd could start their revolution
on a Friday afternoon and the war will be over in time for members of the
citizen militias to return to work on Monday morning!

Too many cops and soldiers will remain loyal to the constitution to allow the
greater threat of some rogue politicians to do to America what the Donks in
Virginia are attempting to do. This will not end with the military turning their
guns on citizens the way it did in the Soviet revolution.
