Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., released a sweeping plan for her first 100 days as president— touching on a wide range of issues and pledging to reverse many of the decisions made under President Trump’s administration.
Similarly to her fellow 2020 Democrats, Klobuchar pledged to utilize executive action in order to implement gun control. While Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., pledged to close the “boyfriend loophole” — allowing domestic abusers to obtain firearms — after 100 days of Congressional inaction, Klobuchar said she would act “immediately” to block access for those individuals.
“Senator Klobuchar leads legislation in the Senate to close the ‘boyfriend loophole’ by preventing people who have abused dating partners from buying or owning firearms,” her plan read, “and she will take executive action to get it done immediately.”
She’ll also introduce legislation that would impose a series of other Democratic reforms — universal background checks, closing the gun show loophole as well as banning bump stocks, assault weapons, and high capacity magazines.
Running against Tina Smith (Dhimmcrat) appointed by our feckless Governor Markie Dayton…(Dhimmicrat) . To replace failed clown and groper Al Franken (Dhimmicrat).
But it is Minnesota and the outstate folks have an uphill battle against those progressives in the Twin Cities….
Whom usually elect some moonbat …
Here We Go Again!
Obama’s Minnesota Minions Block The Keystone Pipeline
Yesterday, Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken provided the deciding votes blocking the common-sense Keystone pipeline legislation.
According to The Hill, this project will create 42,000 jobs, $2 billion in wages, and energy solutions for Americans, but Democrats said no.
Why did Klobuchar and Franken block the common-sense Keystone pipeline?
Simple: Barack Obama and billionaire Democrat donor Tom Steyer.
After all the election season spin about bipartisanship, it didn’t take long to find our Minnesota delegation of Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken conveniently back in the pocket of Barack Obama. Even worse they were clearly doing the bidding of radical environmentalist Tom Steyer who promised to support Democrats opposing the Keystone pipeline. (Watch Dog, 10/17/14)
On June 30, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores that the Administration’s contraceptive mandate as applied to closely held for-profit corporations violated the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) passed by Congress in 1993.
Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) has now introduced the “Protect Women’s Health from Corporate Interference Act (S. 2578)”that would reverse the Hobby Lobby decision and go even farther by jeopardizing the conscience rights of all employers to opt out of covering healthcare services that they deem morally objectionable.
Both Minnesota Senators, Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Sen. Al Franken, have signed on to this bill, which could more aptly be described as a “religious freedom deprivation act.”
The bill they have co-authored negates any current and future right that employers, insurers, or employees may have, under RFRA or any other federal law, to opt out of federally mandated coverage for specific reasons of conscience. This would include late-term abortion coverage, if the federal government decided to add it to its list of “preventative services.”
The U.S. Senate may vote on this anti-conscience rights bill as soon as TODAY. Please urge senators Klobuchar and Franken to reconsider their sponsorship of S. 2578 and to vote AGAINST this bill.
If you have one minute, click on the following link to send a message to senators Klobuchar and Franken right now:https://www.votervoice.net/NCHLA/Campaigns/36673/Respond
Even better, call their D.C. office to voice your concern directly! Share this message with them:
“Please do NOT support the Protect Women’s Health from Corporate Interference Act (S. 2578). This misnamed measure revokes conscience rights guaranteed not only by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, but other federal laws too. Congress has never passed legislation with the specific purpose of reducing Americans’ religious freedom. It should not consider doing so now.”

What a bunch of drivel!
If the GOP had done this, the DemocRATS and their Propaganda Ministry would be screaming and squealing hysterically..
One party rule is what they want…
Majority rules…So lets shut those whom disagree up! So much for LIEberal tolerance!!
And of course Minnesota’s two illustrious DemocRATS Franken and Klobuchar, Reid and Obama lapdogs think it is just wonderful!!
Of course they are. What else would they do? Reid and Buck Ofama would give them a good talking to if they did…
Hey Franken why don’t we just dump this unConstitutional pile of crap called Obamacare?
Fix a website and that will make it all better?
Government should NOT be involved in administering Healthcare..Damn Communists!
Is what it is.
Democide is the elimination of a despised group by a government. It includes genocide, politicide, and other forms of state-sponsored mass murder. The hated minority headed for extermination may be defined by religious, racial, political, class, cultural or other attributes. Between 200 and 260 million people were the victims of democide in the 20th century, several times more than were killed in international wars during that period.
Go read it all and watch the video…Then sleep well afterwards..If you can.
SO folks, who is the hated group right now in America? Jated by the left. The Anti Freedom crowd and the Government?
Is those whom hold firmly onto their beliefs…In God, in Country, in Family, in Freedom, in Firearms. Notice how all those are under attack?
Think about it..
That is what it is all abour. They cannot control us completely if we are armed. No matter what they do to us, if we are armed we can fight back..
Those willing to can. Those in power do not want that. So by foisting ‘gun’ control on us…They control us. Completely. To do what they want us to do.
Including dying..You disagree?
Look at history..
No gun mentioned..
So no real crime here. Just a disagreement..Move along.
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet
I have written earlier of what I believe is a direct correlation between the decline of America and the “great falling away” of her people from the religious faith, which historically was a part of the foundation of the country.
This weekend’s Northfield News had letters from Amy Klobuchar and David Bly. Interesting similarity in their principles: petty, cheapo socialism.MN Rep. Bly reports on his first bills of his second career to “help us”.Klobuchar’s bill:The Medicare Prescription Drug Price Negotiation Act “will empower Medicare to negotiate the BEST POSSIBLE PRICE for drugs” for me.Is that the lowest drug price for the government and me? Or the necessary price to induce new drug discoveries? Klobuchar thinks she knows better than the marketplace.Bly’s HF355 “improves access to mental health education” for grade 6 to 12 students. Ah, E D U C A T I O N will solve mental illness, prevent gun violence ….Bly’s HF364 will increase K-12 funding (naturally) for year round independent study programs “to grow and learn outside the normal school day”.Obama too has a new program to improve education outside the normal school day. His preschool Federal bureaucracy would supplement mothers care from Birth to Head Start.Note in all cases, the Democrats want to provide steady, small, invidious, incremental growth of the nanny state, supplanting the family and the market.
The basic arguments put forward in the letter are that:
1. Background Checks Don’t Impede Criminals.
Criminals obtain guns through illicit means such as theft and by having friends and associates with clean criminal records purchase guns for them, while rampage killers often have no criminal or serious mental health record to impede them. The Newtown Connecticut murderer was the only recent rampage killer who didn’t pass a background check to obtain his weapons–stealing his and murdering the legal owner–and none of them obtained guns from private sellers.
2. Injecting Government into Private Transactions is Unproductive and Dangerous.
Purchasing a firearm from a licensed dealer is the only exercise of an enumerated constitutional right which requires government permission. Every time a person purchases a gun through a licensed dealer, they are investigated by the government, even if they already own dozens of firearms, and even if they have just purchased a firearm in the previous month, week, or day. The infrastructure for these redundant checks costs taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars every year, and adding private transactions into the mix would cost millions more.
Money which could be much better spent on programs that have been proven to actually reduce crime. There has never been a study produced demonstrating a significant reduction in crime due to the background check system.
The current load on the background check system from dealers is often overwhelming, causing long delays and system shutdowns. Including private transactions in the process would exacerbate those problems and could result in a complete stoppage of all legal sales as easily as flipping a switch. These checks also provide the foundation for a federal firearm registration scheme–something tens of millions of responsible gun owners vehemently oppose. Registration in New York State recently resulted in hundreds of gun owners being placed at risk when a newspaper published names and addresses garnered from registration files. Several of those gun owners were subsequently burglarized.
3. Compromise on Background Checks is a Losing Proposition.
There is no gain for politicians, firearms retailers, or the public in any compromise on firearm rights, and the proposals for “universal background checks” are no exception. Few politicians have ever been harmed politically for opposing gun control, but support for gun control has ruined the careers of hundreds.
The backlash from passage of the Clinton “assault weapon ban” alone was credited with retiring almost half of the House of Representatives and numerous members of the Senate. No firearm manufacturer or retailer has had their business significantly hurt by being supportive of firearm owner rights, but the few who have made concessions to gun control advocates have paid a hefty price.
4. Don’t Just Do Something; Do Something That Works.
Politicians can make a significant impact on crime and rampage killings by focusing on strategies that have been proven to work like keeping violent criminals behind bars and doing away with imaginary Gun-Free Zones.
The letter concludes by declaring that restricting lawful access and use of guns will never deny illicit access and use of guns, and by putting politicians and others on notice that the group’s members will actively work to defend the Second Amendment against any encroachment and will exact a political or monetary toll on any who stand against them.
