Media BiASS: More Garbage, More Shillary, No News…

Networks Spin for Hillary After Presser; Congratulate Themselves for Asking ‘Tough New Questions’

Following Hillary Clinton’s decision to take questions from the press for the first time in over three weeks, ABC, CBS and NBC all covered the story on their Tuesday evening newscasts and, once again, were all too happy to spin for her. They all mentioned a federal judge’s ruling that her e-mails should be released more quickly, but they ignored news that she had a second private e-mail address and that Clinton ally Richard Blumenthal advised her on Libya despite the fact that he was banned from working at the State Department. ABC’s David Muir hailed how Clinton faced “tough new questions.”

USA Today’s Susan Page: It’s a ‘Mystery’ That Talented Hillary Skips Questions

The journalists on MSNBC, Tuesday, appeared baffled at Hillary Clinton’s struggling presidential campaign, deeming it a “mystery” why the candidate doesn’t answer more questions. Alex Seitz-Wald talked up the Democrat’s meager five minute press conference: “I certainly don’t think it will satisfy the cries [for more journalistic access], but it might sate them for a while at least.” USA Today’s Susan Page insisted “it’s a mystery to me why she doesn’t want to take a couple questions every day” since “she does it very well.”

CNN Marvels at Obama/Clinton Twitter Conversation: ‘That’s Cute!’

On Tuesday’s New Day, CNN’s Michaela Pereira and Alisyn Camerota heralded the first Twitter conversation between President Obama and former President Bill Clinton. Pereira touted how Obama “has finally joined Twitter” (despite pointing out his previous @BarackObama name). Camerota later gushed over the exchange: “That’s cute!”

CBS and NBC Continue to Tout President Obama Joining Twitter

On Tuesday, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today continued to promote President Obama officially joining Twitter and featured numerous fawning segments highlighting the “Breaking News.” After CBS and NBC both touted Obama’s new Twitter handle on their Monday night broadcasts, their respective morning shows provided 4 minutes and 35 seconds of free promotion for the new @POTUS account.

George Stephanopoulos Skips ABC Segment on Hillary Scandals

Good Morning America on Tuesday covered the latest details of Hillary Clinton’s scandals and her refusal to talk to the media. However, George Stephanopoulos, the man who gave $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation and who “loves” the Democrat, did not anchor the segment. Instead, co-host Robin Roberts explained, “The State Department announcing it may not release her private e-mails from when she was Secretary of State until early next year.”

ABC Touts Elian Gonzalez Interview: He ‘Still Supports Fidel Castro’

ABC on Monday eagerly touted an “exclusive” interview with Elian Gonzalez. Jim Avila, appearing on Good Morning America and World News with his scoop, never mentioned that the now-21-year-old might have been brainwashed with Cuban communist propaganda. Instead, he parroted, “Elian still supports Fidel Castro, who has routinely visited him since his return, with his classmates, at his birthday and national events.

No one hates guns more than California.

They came close to banning most semi-autos and do register all guns.  They have moved to regulate ammunition.  They have just established a $24 million program to send SWAT teams to people’s homes to confiscate their guns.  They are using microstamping and pushing gun-insurance requirements as a mechanism for banning guns nationwide.

And yet, on Friday night, California’s hatred of freedom did nothing but turn 19 people — six dead and 13 wounded — into sitting ducks, as a deranged killer went on a rampage in a quiet college town.

We, along with all Americans, pray that God will give comfort to those who mourn for the family members they lost over the weekend.

But what can we learn from this latest horrific tragedy?

First, gun control made people less safe. California, which has the strictest gun laws in the nation, has a gun-homicide rate that is 70 times higher than Utah’s — the state the Brady Campaign listed as having the least gun control in the nation.  So people are actually much safer in Utah, where guns are more easily available!

Second, the shooter (whose name we will not publicize) amply demonstrated one of his motives with his widely televised videotape and his 140-page manifesto:  he wanted to get his 15 weeks of fame on MSNBC and CNN, who immediately responded with the type of crazed coverage that can only encourage more copycat shootings.

Third, we would note that this privileged kid had been prescribed drugs such as Risperidone — and we would be willing to bet that he was one of 1-in-5 boys (and 11% of all kids, 4-17) who, because of federal law, had been shuttled onto Ritalin or Adderall. All of this tends to reinforce the apparent link between certain prescription drugs and mass murder.

What are the practical ramifications?

Well, it didn’t take any time at all for the Bloomberg vultures to descend upon the horrific tragedy to try to pick its bones for political gain.

Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Rep. Peter King (R-NY) have already called for stricter gun controls in the wake of the California shooting.  CNN did its part to push for gun control yesterday, with a headline blaring:  “Will California shooting revive gun debate?”

And on Monday, MSNBC’s Richard Lui asked Bloomberg minion Erika Soto Lamb:  “Does this help your cause?” and “Will this emotion translate” into a greater push for gun control?  Lamb’s reply:  “Absolutely.”

What an unspeakably vile admission it is for gun control advocates to rejoice over the deaths of children because it “helps [their] cause.”

But the problem is this:  There are at least 15 Democrats running for the Senate in pro-gun states on the lie that they care something about the Second Amendment.  Some are no-name challengers.

But at least eleven are currently members of the Senate:  Mark Begich (D-AK), Mark Pryor (D-AR), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Kay Hagan (D-NC), John Walsh (D-MT), Mark Warner (D-VA), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Mark Udall (D-CO), Tom Udall (D-NM), Jeff Merkley (D-OR) and Al Franken (D-MN).

If they are allowed to go into the election without taking an actual position on gun control — one that makes a difference — and, if they are elected to the Senate, the Second Amendment will be in grave danger in 2015.

For this reason, we are asking Senators Ted Cruz and Rand Paul to force a Senate vote on changing the Senate rules to prohibit any gun control.  Harry Reid has already blown up the Senate rules to pack the circuit courts with anti-gun judges. And, Reid has further threatened to weaken the filibuster rules — a parliamentary tool which gun rights supporters have used to protect the Second Amendment.

Gun owners must encourage the pro-gun leaders in the Senate to demonstrate that they care as much about the Second Amendment as Reid cares about destroying it.

ACTION:  (1) Write your Senators.  Demand that they support Senate rules changes to prohibit any gun control from being adopted in the Senate. NOTE:  If you live in Texas or Kentucky, the Engage action site will invite you to send a different message to each of your two Senators. (2) If you live outside of Texas or Kentucky, then use the pre-written letter below to contact Senators Cruz and Paul.  (You can use the following contact information for Ted Cruz and Rand Paul).  Ask them to push a rules change to prohibit any gun control measure from passing in the Senate.

The Left Is Convinced Americans Won’t Fight For 2nd Amendment Rights

Once cowed at the thought of provoking Second Amendment supporters, leftists will soon attempt to ban “assault weapons” (and much more) as legislation offered by Dianne Feinstein makes its way to the Senate floor. It seems that D.C. liberals have … Continue reading →

We need more Sheriff’s as this…

Sheriff Ronald B. Bruce has been the Sheriff of Hinsdale County in Colorado since his election in 2007. He contacted Freedom Outpost to let us know that he stands with Sheriff Scott Berry of Georgia and will not take his business to others who will discriminate against law abiding citizens in selling semi-automatic rifles, but stated unashamedly that with his dying breath he will protect current and existing Constitutional rights of those who elected him.

How about an anti Matt Damon movie. Another celeb whom thinks people really care what his views are??

Fact-Checking Matt Damon’s ‘Promised Land’I wasted $7.75 on Hollywood’s latest anti-fracking agitprop “Promised Land” so you won’t have to.

You can read movie reviews elsewhere. From what I’ve seen, they’ve been rather lukewarm. And in its first weekend of nationwide distribution, audience response was tepid at best. In the words of lead actor/screenwriter Matt Damon, “Who ****ing wants to go see an anti-fracking movie?”

Not only is the subject matter right in my wheelhouse, Damon et al bring the lies and distortion right into my backyard. Quite literally. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →

If gun control advocates can’t pry that gun from your cold, dead hands, perhaps they can keep you from buying bullets. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) has announced tonight that he’s introducing the Ammunition Background Check Act to require instant background checks to purchase ammo.

Darn Gorebal Warmening…

A powerful winter storm ripping through British Columbia created havoc on highways, turned mountains into danger zones Tuesday, and sparked an avalanche on Vancouver Island that injured an 18-year-old skier. RCMP spokesman Cpl. Darren Langan said the avalanche was minor and that rescue crews were on scene Tuesday evening to evacuate the four skiers caught in the slide. Langan couldn't say how badly injured the victim was, but no one else was hurt and everyone has been accounted for in the group. He said the skiers called for help with a cellphone, which led to the activation of the Comox Valley Search and Rescue Team and the local RCMP. The avalanche happened near Moat and Circlet Lakesin the backcountry of Strathcona Provincial Park, outside the boundaries of Mount Washington Ski Resort. Elsewhere in the region, at least 25 centimetres of snow was expected to fall on the North Shore mountains and Whistler region before tapering off by Wednesday. In the Okanagan, up to 40 cm was forecast. According to meteorologist Ross MacDonald, the Metro Vancouver area was to get at least 30 mm of rain by early Wednesday. That rain, however, was expected to clear up by Thursday or Friday. "It'll be pretty dry for a couple of days but we might see a little bit of . . . showers on Saturday," said Environment Canada meteorologist Colin Tam. With temperatures above freezing in Metro Vancouver, no snow is forecast with the precipitation. The heaviest rains are expected near Hope, where 70 mm of rainfall is forecast by Wednesday morning. A travel advisory has been issued for the Coquihalla Highway. MacDonald said at least 40 cm of snow is expected over the summit before the storm passes. A similar amount is expected for the Kootenay Pass.

A snowstorm that sharply reduced visibility in Turkey's Bosphorus Strait forced maritime authorities to shut the key shipping channel on Tuesday, shipping agent GAC said. Traffic for all northbound and southbound vessels was suspended at 11:45 a.m. (0945 GMT) because of the poor visibility, GAC said in an email. It was the second day of intermittent closures. The snowstorm also prompted flag carrier Turkish Airlines to cancel 76 flights scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, after cancelling dozens of flights on Monday due to the weather, according to its website. GAC said the Dardanelles Strait at the other end of the Sea of Marmara remained open to tanker traffic. The Bosphorus and Dardanelles are the only maritime outlet for oil, grain and other commodities from Russia and other Black Sea countries. Poor weather frequently forces their closure in winter.

Biofuels. Green. Good…Maybe not…

“Growing biofuels is thought to be a good thing because it reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere,” said Nick Hewitt, who worked on the study with colleagues from England’s Lancaster University.

“What we’re saying is ‘yes, that’s great, but biofuels could also have a detrimental effect on air quality’,” he added.

Stockman Introduces Legislation to
Repeal School Gun Ban!
Ask your Congressman to Cosponsor H.R. 35

“I have one concern — protecting children from dangerous predators. By disarming qualified citizens and officials in schools we have created a dangerous situation for our children.” — Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX)

Dear Kevin,

We told you that Rep. Steve Stockman would be the most aggressive defender of our gun rights on Capitol Hill.

He proved us right on Thursday, when he introduced the Very First pro-gun bill in the Congress, in the face of a tidal wave of anti-gun hysteria.

Congressman Steve Stockman has introduced H.R. 35, the Safe Schools Act of 2013 — a bill to allow principals, teachers, and staff to possess firearms in order to defend their students.

Before 1996, American kindergartners didn’t have to fear that if a crazed gunman burst into their classroom, they would be nothing but sitting ducks.

Before then, they didn’t have to worry that federal law openly advertised that there would be no one to protect them.

“In the 22 years before enactment of ‘gun free school zones,’ there were two mass school shootings,” Stockman said. “In the 22 years since enactment of ‘gun free schools,’ there have been 10 mass school shootings.

“Not only has that bill utterly failed to protect our children, it appears to have placed them in danger,” said Stockman.

Indeed, it has.

Within a couple of years of the reenactment of the Gun Free School Zones Act, the Columbine tragedy occurred. And the series of copycat school massacres has shocked and saddened our country ever since.

Clearly, the gun ban is not working. And it’s past time to try a new approach.

It’s time to go on the offensive! It’s time to repeal gun control, rather than talk about “enforcing the gun laws on the books.”

We don’t want to enforce gun control laws — that’s what makes innocent people, including children sitting in their classrooms, less safe.

Anti-gun zealots who have enacted one unsuccessful gun ban after another have come up with a slew of reasons why our nation’s lawmakers should be protected by an army of heavily armed guards, but our children should be vulnerable.

There is a word for this — it’s “hypocrite.” It is time to protect our children with the same tools and the same zeal we use to protect our congressmen.

It is time to pass the Stockman bill and give real protection to our children.

Contact your Representative. Ask him to cosponsor H.R. 35, the Stockman repeal of the gun-free school zone ban.
