Networks Ignore Susan Rice Praising Bergdahl in 2014 for Serving ‘with Honor and Distinction’

In their coverage of desertion charges filed against U.S. Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, the major broadcast networks on Wednesday night failed to mention that National Security Advisor Susan Rice had praised Bergdahl for serving “with honor and distinction.” Standing in sharp contrast to this glaring omission by the “big three” of ABC, CBS, and NBC, the clip of Rice’s claim on the June 1, 2014 broadcast of ABC’s This Week was shown on CNN and FNC newscasts.

CNN’s Baldwin on Bergdahl’s Desertion: Isn’t Captivity ‘Punishment Enough’?

CNN’s Brooke Baldwin slanted towards the sympathizers of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl on Wednesday’s CNN Newsroom, just minutes after the U.S. Army announced that the former captive would be charged with desertion. Baldwin asked special forces veteran Scott Mann, “You have those who…on the opposite end, [are] vilifying him. Again, this is someone who was held…for five years by terrorists. Is that not – this is what some say – is that not punishment enough?”

Networks Fail to Cover DHS Report Alleging Preferential Treatment for Hillary’s Brother

On Wednesday night, the “big three” of ABC, CBS, and NBC all neglected to cover the latest problem facing likely Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as a report from the Department of Homeland Security’s Inspector General (IG) found that a senior DHS official assisted Clinton’s brother Tony Rodham and Democratic Governor Terry McAuliffe (Va.) in obtaining visas for their foreign business associates.

On FNC’s Kelly File, Ted Cruz Welcomes ‘Warm Embrace’ of Hostile Media

Appearing on Fox News’s Kelly File Tuesday night, Texas Senator Ted Cruz mocked the virulent media coverage of his newly-announced presidential campaign: “Well, look, there’s nothing like the warm embrace of the mainstream media.”

Letterman: Ted Cruz Appealing to ‘Extreme Right-Wing’ of GOP

Discussing the presidential bid of Senator Ted Cruz with Fox News host Bill O’Reilly on Tuesday’s CBS Late Show, host David Letterman described the Texas Republican motivating “extreme” supporters: “…he announced at Liberty College [sic], which is Jerry Fallwell’s place…. And that was, of course, purposeful, because he wanted to establish his – the base, the core of the extreme right-wing part of the Republican Party.”

Larry Wilmore: Ted Cruz Candidacy is ‘Blacklash at its Finest’

On Tuesday night, Comedy Central host Larry Wilmore viciously attacked Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and deemed his 2016 presidential campaign “‘Backlash 2016: The unblackening’ begins tonight. It is time for America to say f*** you to the notion that once you go black you never go back.” The Nightly Show host opened his broadcast by shamelessly proclaiming “we ask the question can a foreign-born half-white man be our next president. The answer according to one woman, hell no! Ted Cruz went to Harvard, just like Unabomber Ted Kaczynski.”

CBS Promotes Idea to Put Liberals Such as Margaret Sanger on the $20

The journalists at CBS This Morning on Wednesday promoted as uncontroversial the idea that Andrew Jackson should be removed from the $20 and substituted with the likes of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger or radical environmentalist Rachel Carson. Co-host Norah O’Donnell described this as “a mission to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 with a female American hero.”

Nets Grill Ted Cruz on ‘No-Compromise’ ‘Hardline’ Conservative Views

In interviews with all three broadcast networks on Tuesday, newly-announced Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz was pressed on whether he would abandon his conservative principles in a White House run. Matt Lauer: “In your short time in the Senate you’ve developed a reputation as a guy who does not back down, who will not compromise….Will you bring that brand of no-compromise to the White House if you’re elected?”

NYT on Ted Cruz’s Debut: A ‘Demagogue’ and ‘Flamethrower’

The New York Times on Monday welcomed Ted Cruz to the 2016 presidential race by highlighting accusations that the Texas Republican is a “demagogue” and a “political flamethrower.” In a piece by Nick Corasaniti and Patrick Healy, the two writers declared, “He sometimes deploys the soaring diction of a preacher while staking out uncompromising and rigid conservative positions, often playing the role of political flamethrower.”

Chorus: Late Night Comics Mock Ted Cruz as Anti-Immigrant, Stupid

In a preview of the 2016 campaign, all five late night comics on Monday night mocked Ted Cruz, hitting the Republican as anti-immigrant, regressive and stupid. CBS host David Letterman didn’t bother with a joke. Instead, he lectured, “Here’s what I find interesting about Ted Cruz, he was born in Canada. His father fled to the United States from Cuba. Yet, Ted Cruz is against immigration. Isn’t that odd?”

Obama Taps Washington Post Veteran Murray to Replace Pfeiffer as Senior Adviser

To serve in his inner-most circle of trusted confidants, President Obama has selected someone who spent most of her adult life in a profession very friendly to him and eager to boost his liberal causes: journalism. Former Washington Post political reporter Shailagh Murray will succeed Dan Pfeiffer as Senior Adviser to the President.

Help Congress Repeal a Pernicious, Anti-Gun Law!

Will Republicans Repeal one of the Most Devious Anti-gun Laws on the Books?

“As odd as it seems, ObamaCare contains provisions that jeopardize gun ownership,” — Rachel Alexander, TownHall columnist

Not a GOA member yet?  Make sure to join Gun Owners of America!

Remember ObamaCare?  That’s the anti-gun “Obamanation” that feeds information on gun ownership into a federally run health database.

The original law prevented doctors from doing this, but then Obama’s lawless Executive Action #16 in January of 2013 effectively (and unilaterally) repealed this prohibition on doctors asking their patients about guns in the home.

ObamaCare also opens the door for the ATF to troll that database in order to impose gun bans on millions of Americans with mental disabilities — in much the same way that the Veterans Administration has disarmed almost 200,000 law-abiding veterans.

“As odd as it seems, ObamaCare contains provisions that jeopardize gun ownership, especially for veterans,” says TownHall columnist Rachel Alexander.  And it’s organizations like Gun Owners of America, she says, that “continue to expose these sneaky backdoor attempts at gun control.”

Sneaky, indeed, but that could all be changing now.

On Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives, by a largely party-line margin of 239-to-186, voted to repeal ObamaCare.  (See the vote here.)

The bill now goes to the Senate, where Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will force all 100 senators to go on record in support or opposition to it.  Senators like Ted Cruz (R-TX) are pushing hard for a repeal of this anti-gun ObamaCare law.  In fact, Cruz had already introduced his own repeal bill, S. 339, which is cosponsored by 47 Senators!

The House has already voted on an ObamaCare repeal more than 50 times, but never when Republicans controlled both chambers of Congress.

And while Obama is currently threatening to veto the bill, Congress can always add the repeal to a must-pass piece of legislation.

Besides, even the New York Times, which is hardly a “conservative rag” — reported Sunday that White House aides are worried that the upcoming “tax-filing season will generate new anger” against ObamaCare as uninsured consumers “learn that they must pay tax penalties.”

The pressure is mounting.  Now is the time to strike!

ACTIONContact your Senators and urge them to support the House-passed bill (H.R. 596) repealing anti-gun ObamaCare.  And given that there will be, undoubtedly, an attempt to filibuster the repeal, urge them to shut-off debate by voting for “cloture.”

Chuck Todd Defends Hillary from Claims She Can’t Connect With Public

On Sunday’s Meet the Press, Chuck Todd, NBC News Political Director, one again played the role of Hillary Clinton apologist as he defended the former Secretary of State from suggestions that she doesn’t understand the challenges facing the average American. Speaking to his panel, Todd argued that Hillary’s inability to connect with voters was “not necessarily her fault. I mean, she’s had Secret Service protection for 22 years. That is tough.” Todd’s comments came in response to clips of former Governor Jeb Bush (R-FL) and Ms. Clinton speaking about the challenges of political life. The Meet the Pressmoderator excused Ms. Clinton’s problem relating to voters and pointed out that for “twenty-two years, she hasn’t walked alone.”

Four Times in One Show, Chris Matthews Compares Ted Cruz to Joe McCarthy

In case MSNBC viewers didn’t understand that Ted Cruz is the new Joe McCarthy, Hardball’s Chris Matthews on Thursday repeated the attack four times. Smearing the Texas Republican as unhinged and paranoid is a favorite of Matthews. This time, the host lashed out against Cruz’s opposition to Barack Obama’s executive order amnesty. At 7:35, Matthews jeered, “Big surprise there. Joe McCarthy is at it again.” Five minutes later, at 7:40, the cable host ranted about “this plan by the new Joe McCarthy which is always to blame the government as lawless.”

Predictable CNN Suggests Tea Party Could Destroy GOP

On Sunday, CNN’s Inside Politics spent several minutes hyping the supposed headache Tea Partiers could give GOP leadership despite the Republican Party winning their 54th Senate seat following Saturday’s runoff in Louisiana. During the discussion, Robert Costa of The Washington Post insisted that Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is trying “to govern responsibly and he wants to set the party up for major gains in ’16. And that started in 2014 by pushing back the Tea Party and it starts now by making sure that all the passions and eagerness in the House don’t overtake the party.”

NBC: White GOP Congressional Districts Preventing Immigration Reform

During a panel discussion on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday, Amy Walter of the Cook Political Report argued that the reason comprehensive immigration reform wasn’t getting passed was because of the racial makeup of House Republican districts: “Here’s the problem with the House, at the end of the day, the House does not look like the country.” CNBC’s Rick Santelli, immediately pushed back: “Who sent them there? Come on!” Walter continued: “Well, that’s right, they sit in districts – no listen, the average House – the average House Republican district is 75% white.” Moderator Chuck Todd chimed in his agreement: “That’s the problem.”

Networks Failed to Expose Doubts in Rolling Stone Rape Story; Devoted 11 Minutes on Evening Shows to Initial Report

When the now-retracted article by the Rolling Stone magazine about a brutal gang rape of a first-year student at the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house at the University of Virginia was published on November 19, the major broadcast networks rushed to the story and devoted multiple segments to both the article and reaction on the school’s campus. In doing so, they failed to point out its flaws that brought an apology from the liberal magazine on Friday afternoon after it came to realize that many of the key facts in the story were in doubt.

Nets Obsessed Over Bridgegate Scandal, Yawn at Clearing of Christie

In January, the networks deluged Americans with coverage on Chris Christie’s Bridgegate scandal, offering a staggering 88 minutes in less than 48 hours. Late on Thursday night, a Democrat-led investigation failed to find evidence conclusively linking the New Jersey governor to the 2013 traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge. On Friday morning, CBS and NBC allowed a scant 32 seconds to this important development.

CNN Spends 26 Seconds on Bridgegate Report Clearing Christie; Devoted 8.5 hours on First Day of Allegations

Back in January, when the Bridgegate scandal surfaced, CNN offered wall-to-wall coverage totaling just over eight hours and 35 minutes of coverage on its first full day and featured the Republican Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, at the center of it all. So, when news surfaced on early Friday morning that a Democrat-led investigation cleared Christie of any wrongdoing, CNN chose to adopt a different approach and all but ignore this news. Through 5:30pm ET, the cable network had spent a scant 26 seconds on the report’s exoneration of Christie.

Unhinged Ed Schultz Questions Ted Cruz’s Patriotism on Prisoner Swap: ‘Nothing American’

A furious Ed Schultz on Monday questioned Ted Cruz’s patriotism after the Senator spoke out against the prisoner swap deal that involved top Taliban leaders and a U.S. soldier. The Ed Show host played a clip of the Senator wondering, “What does this tell terrorists? That if you catch a U.S. soldier, you can trade that soldier for five terrorists we’ve gone after?” Schultz spewed, “Ted Cruz has zero credibility. He has zero foreign policy experience. He’s a guy from Texas who doesn’t have a clue.” The host then openly questioned Cruz’s patriotism, dismissing his remarks: “And it’s all pablum, anything to take down the President. There’s nothing American about Ted Cruz.”

MSNBC’s Matthews, Guests Blast Koch Bros., GOP: ‘Hurting the Planet’ for Money, Partisan Gain

On his June 2 Hardball program, host Chris Matthews used new Obama EPA regs simply as an excuse to team up with his two liberal guests to blast Republicans as know-nothings on climate change who are motivated sheerly out of partisan animus in opposing the President’s push for curbing carbon dioxide emissions. Matthews also worked in a swipe at the Left’s favorite fraternal bogeymen, assailing the Koch brothers as moral monsters for “hurting the planet’s health so they can have more money.”

ABC Spends Twice As Much Time on Hedgehogs Than New EPA Regulations

On Monday, June 2, the Environmental Protection Agency formally announced a slew of new regulations aimed at reducing carbon emissions by coal plants by 30 percent over the next 15 years. Despite the potential damaging impact the new regulations will have on the economy, ABC’s World News with Diane Sawyer spent twice as much time on hedgehogs becoming popular pets instead of providing a full report on the new EPA regulations. In total, Sawyer provided a mere 45 seconds on the new EPA regulations and offered no quotes or soundbites from either side.

NBC and CBS Hosts See Prisoner Swap As ‘Good Sign’ of ‘Diplomatic Breakthrough’ With Taliban

While all three broadcast networks provided critical coverage of the Obama administration’s decision to exchange five Taliban terrorists for American solider Bowe Bergdahl, Meet the Press host David Gregory and CBS This Morning co-host Norah O’Donnell both attempted to spin the controversial deal as brilliant diplomacy. Interviewing Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel on Sunday’s Meet the Press, Gregory argued: “This is potentially a good sign if you think about the future of Afghanistan….does this pave the way for perhaps a new round of negotiations with the Taliban directly between the United States and the Taliban about the Taliban’s future in running Afghanistan?”

NBC’s Gregory to Ben Carson: ‘Very Highly Charged’ to Demand Gov’t Follow Constitution

In an interview with Dr. Ben Carson for Meet the Press’s web-based feature Press Pass, NBC host David Gregory dismissed Carson’s call for “a government that placed the Constitution of the United States at the highest level”: “There are some people who say that. That’s a very highly charged thing to say. Where is the Constitution not placed in the right level today?” Carson gave Gregory a dose of reality: “Because it helps to define what the role of the government is. It doesn’t include being in every aspect of our lives….when you take people who are perfectly capable of doing things and you pat them on the head and then you say, ‘There, there, you poor little thing, we’re going to take care of this and this, you won’t have anything to worry about.'”

CBS Hails ‘Groundbreaking’ New EPA Regulations on Climate Change, Skips Job Risk

CBS and NBC’s morning shows on Monday avoided any mention of the potential job killing-harm that new Environmental Protection Agency rules will create. The three networks spent a scant 61 seconds total on the global warming regulations, but it was only Amy Robach on Good Morning America who raised a red flag. She pointed out: “The new rules will require power plants to cut Earth-warming pollution by 30 percent. Opponents say this will drive up energy costs and kill thousands of jobs.” On CBS This Morning, co-host Amy Robach cheered, “This morning, the EPA announces a groundbreaking plan to cut power plant emissions blamed for global warming.”

Leno Tougher on How President ‘Lied’ About ObamaCare Than NBC Reporters

On Tuesday’s NBC Tonight Show, host Jay Leno provided harsher criticism of President Obama falsely claiming that Americans could keep their current health insurance plans under ObamaCare than any of the network’s reporters. Leno told the audience: “Well, it’s being reported that the President has known for three years that people would lose their coverage. The press is now saying the President lied.”  Leno setup a mock defense of Obama: “But today the White House said that’s not true. He did not lie. And they released this tape from three years ago to prove it. Here’s what he said three years ago.” A comically dubbed-over soundbite followed of Obama saying people “cannot” keep their doctors and health insurance.

Chris Matthews Compares Ted Cruz to Cinematic Child Murderer ‘Freddy Krueger’

Apparently, a lot of conservatives remind Chris Matthews of the scarred and burned child murderer from the Nightmare on Elm Street films. On Tuesday, the Hardball anchor linked Republican Ted Cruz to the cinematic killer. He opened the program by spewing, “Is Ted Cruz the Republican Freddy Krueger?” According to Matthews, the Texas senator is a “grotesquerie that now presents itself as the righteous right arm of the Republican Party.” Using Halloween imagery, the host attributed all of the GOP’s woes to Cruz, slamming him as “this frightening Freddy Krueger that threatens this country with relentless shutdowns and credit defaults.”

Amid ObamaCare Disaster, NBC’s Todd Insists GOP ‘Has No Interest in Governing’

While discussing the numerous ObamaCare failures on Wednesday’s NBC Today, chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd felt it necessary to gratuitously bash Republicans: “And suddenly you have the picture of two parties, a Democratic Party led by the President that apparently doesn’t know how to govern, has a competency issue when it comes to this health care website, juxtaposed next to a Republican Party who apparently has no interest in governing.”  Todd didn’t bother to explain or justify his slam on the GOP, he simply stated it as if it were a fact.

ABC Wakes Up to ObamaCare ‘Lie,’ But Knocks Americans’ ‘Cheap, Underperforming’ Plans

The journalists at Good Morning America on Wednesday conceded that Barack Obama may have “misled the public” on the health care law, that “some call it a lie.” But at the same time, reporter Jim Avila helpfully told viewers that Americans would be only be losing “cheap, underperforming insurance.” [See video below. MP3 audio here.] Anchor George Stephanopoulos introduced the story on Kathleen Sebelius’s testimony before Congress as the “latest firestorm over ObamaCare.” The co-host revealed, “All this is happening as we learn of a new report from inside the administration that warned these website problems were coming.” Avila related that the Health and Human Services Secretary will blame the disastrous launch of “contractors who built the site” and take “none of the” responsibility. The journalist explained, “A document posted overnight by a congressional committee shows that the main contractor did warn the government more testing was needed before launch.”

John Dickerson: ‘HealthCare.gov Launched With The…Success of a North Korean Missile’

John Dickerson didn’t mince words about the “bad launch” of ObamaCare in his Tuesday item for Slate.com. The CBS News political director invoked one of deceased tyrant Kim Jong il’s most infamous saber-rattling tactics: “Healthcare.gov launched with the fanfare and success of a North Korean missile.” Dickerson also rephrased his recent contention that “the administration could get into, sort of, a credibility death spiral” on the issue of ObamaCare. He stated that “when the website doesn’t work and the promises of 2009 and 2010 are revised, questions of credibility infect everything the administration says. This can lead to a death spiral as administration officials make bold assertions to distract from the current challenges.”

Charlie Rose to Cheney: Would You Have Seen Iraq Differently If You Had More Oxygen to Your Brain?

On Tuesday’s Charlie Rose show, former Vice President Dick Cheney came on to promote his new book about surviving heart disease and was treated to a nasty swipe from the host about his Iraq war decision making. When Cheney told the PBS host and co-anchor of CBS’s This Morning that he had wished he had gotten his heart transplant done sooner, Rose took a swing, meant as a joke: “Might you have seen Iraq differently if we had more oxygen to your brain?” Cheney laughed off the cheap shot.

Team 6. Civilian Army? Pointless UN! Milbank!

2 years and nothing from Buck Ofama in spite of his ‘promises’. His promises as are his rhetoric, are pointless and empty..

More than two years after President Obama reassured the father of a member of SEAL Team 6 that the government would look into the death of his son, the father is still waiting for a response, and his suspicions are growing.

SEAL Team 6 families’ suspicions of gov’t grow

A civilian ‘Army”?

What the hell is the National Guard?

Citizen Soldiers is what they promote!
So why on earth do we need a ‘civilian’ army?

New DHS Sec Johnson Signifies Push For a Civilian Army

Any Buck Ofama supporter and crony appointed to head the Pointless Dept of Homeland Security, which has done more to harass everyday Americans then catch or stop any real terrorists!!

But didn’t Buck Ofama say something about this a while back?

Well maybe so…But the whole of the UN is pretty much pointless..

UN Security Council is Incompetent

Death threats? From someone in the cartel of the elite, politicians, lobbyists and rich assOs whom run Washington? Or from zealot leftists, you know, the non violent, tolerant left?

Yeah, now that’s a joke!

I hope Sen Cruz and his wife carry and are trained to use what they carry…

Police investigate disturbing death threats against Ted Cruz, family

First off you opinionated dickhead, one has to know how to lead…Obama has yet to prove he could lead a scouting troop!

Dana Milbank: Now, lead from the front

And his middle school childlike gloating after he refused to ‘negotiate’ and used everyday Americans and Veterans as pawns, further showed his lack of any leadership style other then bullying and temper tantrums..I do believe ‘Chicago style thuggery would be appropriate!)

So for you to claim this ‘Lead for the front’ tells me you wallow in the Obama Kool-aid and are a pointless, elitist liberal whom is clueless as to what middle class people are dealing and struggling with day to day..Of course you are most likely cluelass as to how anything works in ‘Flyover’ middle America

So suck up, snuggle up and enjoy kissing Obama’s ass…His time of reckoning is coming.

I don’t, won’t ever will trust Government again, even less then I did before the latest debacle of name calling and bad mouthing led by the so called ‘media’ (Obama’s Ministry of Propaganda!) DemoncRATS, RINOs, Repuplikans and leeches, parasites and non essential government employees…

Get a clue, we don’t have a President, we have a pResident destroying America, with you and your ilk blindly following and do all you can to help this happen..
