For the Children: The Emotional Marketing of Gun Control

Reflex Handgun

In his fascist masterwork Mein Kamph Adolph Hitler wrote “The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.  In the wake of every mass shooting egregious curtailment of personal liberty is proposed in the name of public safety and for the children.  Thus, the left leverages the emotional rhetoric of fascism while simultaneously trying to paint all who oppose their collectivist world view as fascist.  Oh, the irony.

There are two fallacies inherent in the argument for gun control to save children: First, as is clearly obvious, “gun violence” is at its peak in the locales with the most stringent gun control.  Look no further than Chicago or Baltimore.  Criminalizing guns ensures…

If you enter this discussion you have already conceded the idea to the liberal promoting it. I say this because this argument about saving the children by banning guns is an emotional one and not one based on logic or facts.

Leftists seek conformance to their utopian world as they believe if every person accepts and obeys their rules life will be safe and everything will be good. The first issue I can see is that you cannot force crazy into conformance on behavior alone. Second, criminals will pretend to conform and then act to steal or murder as they pursue their nefarious acts.

While man can be a conforming creature, the eventual invasive nature of conformance will drive the independent people out of the community. The need for space and freedom from meddling is also a human characteristic and while the liberal left ignores this as much as possible, it is real and the reason our nation was founded to begin with.

The conforming society is a European concept anchored in hundreds of years of living within the city walls under a monarch of some sort. Conformance insures survival in that setting.

America grew due to the vastness of our nation and the encouragement of our need of personal space to live. For over 100 years we grew a nation that was self reliant and the citizens were accustomed to the use of firearms as these were an essential tool of survival. Since about the 1880’s we have seen the growth of the urban population centers which mirror the citadel communities of Europe. You can also trace the evolution of the socialist thinking that is pervading our society from this time as well.

Now, in present times we have a neo-socialist portion of our society trying to take control of our entire society in ways our founders never would have considered. The push for gun control is a European concept and not one that is consistent to our heritage. Because we who embrace the second amendment are outliers, the left seeks to control us and disarming us is the first step. Using ploys like ‘for the children’ or unfettered immigration are designed to create a rift between us and the neo-socialists allowing them the opportunity to ostracize our way of thinking as being ‘primitive’ or ‘racist’ or ‘fascist’ even though the enforcers of the left, Antifa, are actually fascists themselves.

Don’t fall into this trap of saving the children. How many children are killed each year by illegal immigrants?? How many are dying of drug overdoses in cities like San Francisco and Portland due to non-enforcement of drug laws?

The left uses messaging to control the population. Be a voice of independent thinking and moral righteousness. Only self reliant citizens can save the republic and not the gun control loving drones of the left.

The article centers on Hitler but the best explanation of state (political) lies comes from Joseph Goebbells his propaganda guru.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Sound familiar? “the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
aka Trump, let alone what Killary had to hide, let alone the gun debate..
