In May 2012, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit issued an aggressive, secular ruling in a “legislative” prayer case arising from a small town in western New York. In Town of Greece v. Galloway, the 2nd Circuit ruled that Greece’s permitting public prayer before town meetings violated the First Amendment. The court ruled in this manner despite the town’s highly inclusive policy that allowed even a practicing Wiccan and an atheist to offer civic prayers. No person’s attempt to offer a prayer was blocked.
Pray for righteous judges in the land. Pray that there will be an increase in the awareness of how stabilizing the honor of God and His Word is to a nation that puts its trust in Him. Our national motto: “IN GOD WE TRUST” should be enough to clarify that truth.

This allows the rules of the Senate to be changed with just a majority vote if he decides to claim the Senate’s business does not continue and constitutes itself as a new body every two years (it’s a Parliamentary thing). Meanwhile, behind the scenes Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid are cutting a deal to drastically curtail the filibuster. The left is fully on board and gearing up for this fight because they think they can get gun control through the Senate and other liberal initiatives.
